Samhain, New Moon in Scorpio + the Annual Fall Back

I need to be more present in this space. I love sharing my thoughts without the expectation of ‘likes.’

Stepping into this season slowly as the nights get shorter, darker & colder & as I learn more about myself & the energy that is ~ I wanted to share my knowledge about what this time has meant for me and how I acknowledge the magick ✨

Samhain occurs Oct. 31 – Nov. 1 (sunset to sunset) & is seen as a time when the veil between the physical world and the spirit realm is thinnest 🕯️ Common practices during this time include: Honoring Ancestors, Reflection and Letting Go, Connecting with the Otherworld, Honoring the Cycle of Life + Death, Protection spells/ Warding & our “Harvest of the Soul” ~ a time to look inward, harvesting personal insights leading to our personal growth. 🌱

The New Moon in Scorpio was on Nov. 1 and holds deep, transformative energy. Scorpio is associated with rebirth, mystery, and intense emotion. New moons are always a time of new beginnings and setting intentions & with Scorpio energy this moon makes it the perfect time for exploring shadow work, letting go of old emotional patterns and shedding skin. 🐍

The time change is a construct created by man that reminds me to slow down and be present. To use up the daylight as much as I can. I embrace the rhythm of nature and follow her flow. As the days get shorter I am called to tune inward and conserve my own energy. I asked you guys what we needed to release during this time and most said self-doubt. Some said all of the above, fear & procrastination tied + a few of you chose comparison. I chose those options because they are themes and characteristics in my life I have been working on letting go of. Releasing this takes time, but working with and using the energy of the universe benefits us if we’re paying attention. Be gentle with yourself, trust the process & lean into the unknown. .𖥔 ݁ ˖🍁๋࣭ 💌⭑🍂༘⋆🧸
